About The Event
A craft workshop for parents to make something special for their baby.
Suitable for babies 0-12months, this is a hands-on workshop where you will be given all the necessary materials and support to create sensory bottles for your baby.
What is it?
Dream Catchers are an ancient Native American tool for warding of bad dreams and keeping in peaceful energy for babies and children. These days, they have become a sweet little addition to a nursery but we like to think they promote good dreams too!
How do you use it?
Hang it in a space where baby sleeps to promote positive dreams OR hang it in a play space to watch and develop sensory skills.
Where do we meet?
The workshop will be held at Flagstone Skate Park and Adventure Playground. We will be set up in one of the huts behind the playground. Look for an a-frame sign with Mumma Got Skills on it.
What do you get?
1 small vintage doilie
1 small ring
lace/feathers/wool to decorate
What you bring?
Picnic blanket or mat if you have one
Why does the workshop exist?
Here are Mumma Got Skills, we hope to show parents that meaningful learning toys and experiences are so much more fulfilling when made by you! We also know what it's like to lose a sense of your identity as you busy yourself with the all consuming needs of your baby. We love our babies of course, but we also require the space to free our minds and busy our hands. That's why these workshops exist, to provide you with the chance to make something totally guilt free while your babies mingle.
Did you know that you are helping another Mum with your ticket purchase?
We put 10% of your ticket towards developing free and low cost workshop for parent's with post natal anxiety and depression. We also provide workshops to pockets of the community that need it most.
