About The Event
We are back to deliver more workshops to this fabulous and supportive community! We are honoured to have ongoing funding from Peet Flagstone who have recognised the importance of this little group. Thank you for spreading the word and filling out surveys - it is because of you that we can continue to deliver creative workshops for you!
So, instead of giving you individual workshops, we have put them all here for you to see. If you want to book into all workshops, you are more that welcome to do so but please, if you think you won't be able to attend some, please just book individual tickets. We rely on healthy sized groups to keep this all going. We ask that you only book for yourself and get your friends to book their own tickets so we can keep on top of it all!
So here they are!
Monday 5th August
In this workshop we will convert old worn out picture books into beautiful bunting that will make a statement and bring the stories back to life! Use a template to cut pages into flags, glue to a decorative string and further personalise with words (if you choose). Then, store your bunting in the hard cover of the book to protect it or hang it in your nursery or child's room.
Monday 19th August
Using coffee granules as a base, we will show you how to blend up a delicious body scrub using just 4 ingredients!
A great way to utilise everyday items in your pantry AND be kind to your skin. This scrub will have you feeling perky and fresh all day
Monday 2nd September
Farmyard Finger Puppets
Stitch your own set of cute farm animal finger puppets to enjoy with your child. All designs come pre-cut so you can easily complete the set (even with a babe in arms). Have no fear from home-economics classes past, you will succeed with these and feel super proud when they are complete!
Monday 16th September
Rainbow Wall Hanging
A popular little nursery addition, this hanging uses rope, colured yarn and glue to create a happy little rainbow. An intro to weaving, this is a great technique that can be show to older children too.
Monday 14th October
Paper Quill Designs
This is a surprisingly easy technique of rolling paper strips produces really cool 3D artwork for your walls. Make this for bub (or yourself)! Choose from a template or draw your own design on heavy cardstock before rolling strips of coloured paper into different shapes to glue onto your design. This workshop does take a little patience so I recommend starting small in order to complete a design during the workshop or beginning something BIG to finish at home.
Monday 28th October
Did you know you can recycle t-shirts into workable yarn? Learn how to finger-knit some funky fabric yarn into a durable necklace, bracelet or headband! We will then add silicone beads for good chewing measure.
